How to Uninstall View Speed Test

Below are safe, step‑by‑step instructions for completely removing the View Speed Test desktop application from both Windows PC and macOS systems. Follow the sequence that matches your device.


Windows 10 / 11

  1. Quit the app

    • Right‑click the View Speed Test icon in the task‑tray (bottom‑right) and choose Exit (or Quit).

  2. Open Settings

    • Press Win + IAppsInstalled apps (Windows 11) or Apps & features (Windows 10).

  3. Locate View Speed Test

    • Scroll or use the search box to find “View Speed Test.”

  4. Uninstall

    • Click the (three dots) or select the entry → Uninstall → confirm when prompted.

    • The built‑in uninstaller will launch—accept the default options.

  5. Delete residual files (optional)

    • Open File Explorer and type %APPDATA%\ViewSpeedTest in the address bar.

    • Delete the ViewSpeedTest folder if it remains.

    • Also check %LOCALAPPDATA% for any leftover “ViewSpeedTest” folder.

  6. Clean registry entries (advanced / optional)

    • Press Win + R, type regedit, press Enter.

    • Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ and delete any ViewSpeedTest keys.

    • Caution: Editing the registry can harm your system—back it up first or skip this step if unsure.

  7. Restart your PC to complete removal.


macOS (Monterey 12, Ventura 13, Sonoma 14)

  1. Quit the app

    • Right‑click the View Speed Test icon in the Dock or menu bar → Quit.

  2. Move the app to Trash

    • Open FinderApplications.

    • Drag View Speed Test.app to Trash (or right‑click → Move to Trash).

  3. Remove supporting files

    • In Finder, press Shift + ⌘ + G and paste each path below, deleting the corresponding folder/file if present:
